REQUIREMENTS
- Duly completed
application from signed by applicant
- Passport valid for no
less than 30 days after the expiry of intended visit
- Payment of prescribed
fee
- Sponsor original Bank
Statement
- Applicants must lodge a cash deposit (50 000 rupees) of equivalent
value to a return air ticket (Not required for spouse or dependent
children of a South African citizen and Permanent Resident Permit holder)
- Statement and / or document confirming purpose and duration of
visit and proof that applicant is the immediate family member of South
African citizen or Permanent Resident Permit holder (Full Birth
Certificate for Children, Marriage Certificate for spouse and proof of
kinship for others)
Please note all these documents must be attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Medical and Radiological Reports for all applicants except pregnant
women an children younger that 12 years
- Proof of South African Citizenship or Permanent Residence of
relative in
- A police clearance certificate in respect of each country in which the applicant resided since the
age of 18 years for 12 months.
- A yellow fever vaccination certificate if he or she travelled from
or through a yellow fever belt area: provided that the certificate shall
not be required in direct transit through such area or where an
application is made in the republic
- Proof of a minimum amount of R5 000 per month per person, which
shall not apply in case of a spouse or dependent children of a South
African Citizen and Permanent Residence Permit holder
NB – Applications submitted
without the required documents as mentioned above will be refused due to
incomplete documents.

be submitted together with the applications, as no faxes will be accepted
Fees
(Rs 2 800) are paid at Standard Chartered Bank in

minimum of 30 working days to consider and process visa applications. Any inquiry prior to normal processing time
will not be entertained and emergency cases will be analyzed and dealt with
accordingly. The mission will make contact with the applicants directly if
needs more information.
